This interactive practice app needs JavaScript. Enable it for this site, then reload. No workbook has been loaded or saved.
Starting the practice app. If controls remain unavailable, reload this page in a current desktop browser. Progress has not yet been saved in this tab.
Preserve the original saved data before resetting. This export contains entered data; share it carefully. New session edits are not included.
Values uses calculated results captured when copied, keeping destination formatting. Formulas copies content with relative references adjusted, keeping destination formatting. Formats changes only supported appearance properties, preserving destination contents.
Practice subset: internal workbook clipboard only. Boolean and error results cannot yet be pasted as literal values. Values + Transpose swaps rows/columns of captured results only, preserves destination formatting and replaces blanks. This conservative trainer mode refuses overlapping ranges, requires source and destination sheets without table or PivotTable metadata, and requires a workbook without dynamic arrays. X is a local trainer dialog shortcut, not a verified native Excel accelerator. Formula transpose, operations, Skip Blanks, links and external clipboard attributes are not implemented.
This is a fixed-source teaching summary, not the full Excel PivotTable designer.
Source records stay unchanged. Undo reverses creation. Arbitrary ranges, destinations and field lists are not implemented.
Practice subset: English/US, USD, 0–8 decimals. Accounting uses aligned symbols, parentheses and zero dashes. Scientific uses a signed exponent with at least two digits; custom format codes and locale variants are not implemented. Mixed selections keep untouched properties.
ISO date display only: whole-day serials for 1901–9999 in the 1900 date system. No locale text-date parsing or 1904 conversion. Changing the display never changes the stored serial.
From one cell, the lab proposes its bounded current region. Review or edit the range below; your worksheet selection and data stay unchanged until you confirm.
Bounded lab: supply unique text headers, at least two columns and one data row within A1:L40. One table per sheet outside the fixed Accounts payable register. No automatic headers, resizing, structured references, calculated columns or total rows. Table styling is a visual overlay; original cell formatting is preserved.
Bounded lab: literal text, current sheet, by rows. Find skips hidden cells; Replace refuses hidden targets. No wildcards (* ? ~), workbook-wide search or format matching. Calculated values are unformatted, not Excel display-text matching. Replace edits raw entries only.
This training setting blocks editing all cells. Selecting cells remains allowed. Passwords, per-cell permissions and encryption are not implemented.
Formulas update to the new name. Rename is saved immediately; rename back to reverse it.

The existing header row is excluded. If a bounded range table has an active filter, clear it first; sorting filtered range tables is not implemented.
Tester build 0.99.7. Focus the sheet first. The target is a Windows desktop keyboard and the classic expanded Windows Microsoft 365 ribbon. This is a bounded practice simulator, not Microsoft Excel or complete Excel compatibility. Draw and Automate visibility varies by device, version and license. Disabled and reference-only commands do not execute. Supported Windows ribbon sequences work only when the browser delivers the keys; other operating systems and browser shortcuts can differ.
Practice data is synthetic. Do not paste confidential or personal information. Workbooks and local course progress are saved only in this browser on this site when storage is available. Optional private metadata saves require separate account consent. Clearing site data or using private browsing can lose progress; another browser, device or site address does not carry it over. This tester build adds no feedback collection or third-party analytics; send feedback separately to your test coordinator.
Known shortcut limit: On Linux, native Ctrl+Shift+U while editing can be intercepted and insert a u instead of expanding the Formula Bar. Use the visible Expand/Collapse control. Windows-native editor delivery has not been certified. For worksheet navigation, keep browser full-screen on and focus the workbook before Ctrl+PageUp / Ctrl+PageDown; F11 again exits full-screen. Browser/OS interception is not a wrong answer.
Windows browser practice: Press F11 for full-screen practice. Press F11 again to return to your normal browser window. Then use Ctrl+PageUp / Ctrl+PageDown to move between worksheets. F11 controls browser full-screen, not Excel; behavior can vary by browser/device.
Navigation scope: plain contiguous data regions only, not table/summary or irregular-region stages. Ctrl+End uses current modeled values/formatting, not Excel’s historical used-range cache. Page keys use the bounded visible viewport; exact native pixel alignment and grouped-sheet selection are not implemented.
Browser, OS and screen-reader settings can affect key delivery. Use Ctrl+PageUp/PageDown while the workbook is focused. The app leaves F11 to your browser and requests no fullscreen or keyboard-lock permission. For an unmodified-key alternative, finish or cancel an edit, press F6 to leave the grid, then Tab to a worksheet tab and use Left/Right, Home/End, or Enter/Space. That browser interception is not a wrong answer. Toolbar controls and the name box provide equivalent routes. Clipboard copy uses an internal buffer; external tab-separated paste is also supported. Results and formula behavior are checked, not a single required keystroke sequence. Scores measure task outcomes, not certified Excel shortcut mastery. Clicking workbook controls marks the attempt as assisted. Press Escape to return focus to the sheet. Keyboard exercises block pointer worksheet selection and sheet-tab switching; the optional Challenge also blocks toolbar pointer actions; the name box and formula bar remain editable by keyboard.
Copy from above (US Windows keys): Ctrl+' stages the exact formula above without shifting references; Ctrl+Shift+" stages its calculated number or text. Trainer policy: select one grid cell, then Enter commits the pending draft or Escape cancels. Existing editor drafts are not replaced. Formula mode requires a formula source; value mode does not support blank, logical or error results. Hidden/protected and dynamic-array contexts are unavailable. No clipboard is used; browser/OS shortcut delivery may differ.
Go To: Ctrl+G or bare F5, Home → Find & Select → Go To, or Search opens a current-sheet Reference dialog. Only A1:L40 cells and rectangles are supported. No history, names, qualified/absolute references, disjoint selections, spill # or Special. Open/Cancel preserve pending text; OK checks the target before committing a valid draft. Hidden interior cells are not excluded from a rectangle.
Repeat formatting (F4): In grid mode, repeat the prior applied Bold, Italic, Underline, Wrap Text, alignment or Clear Formats value. Home → Format → Repeat formatting and Search commands are equivalent. This bounded trainer repeats applied values, not toggles; other actions are unavailable. Editing F4 still cycles formula reference locks. Finish pending edits first. Repeat intent is session-only and clears after other successful edits, Undo/Redo or worksheet/course changes. Browser/OS or Fn/F-Lock settings may intercept F4. No clipboard is used.
Manual Row Height: Home → Format → Row Height, Alt then H, O, H, or Search commands. Trainer input is 17.25–180 points, converted at 96 CSS px per inch to 23–240 CSS px. Excel’s wider range and 15-point default are not offered. Zero does not hide rows here. Fixed heights can clip wrapped text; AutoFit recalculates an estimate.
Clear Formats: Home → Clear → Clear Formats, Alt then H, E, F (English Windows trainer target), or Search commands. Removes supported cell styles only; formulas/data and stored dimensions stay. Unset Wrap height estimates may shrink. Conditional formatting and native table-style overlays are unavailable. Clear All is not implemented.
This view covers Keyboard training completions only. Formula Academy and Assessment are not yet included. Free Practice is ungraded and excluded. Elapsed time runs from question display to a successful Check or Next in that visit. Wrong checks and hints keep the timer running. Revisit, workbook restart and reload start a fresh visit; completed history is kept. The first recorded successful visit per question is retained, not a fastest-time score. Earlier completions without recorded timing say unavailable. Learning/workbook resets keep recorded question/step history; legacy-only and adaptive scenario summaries follow those resets. Existing workbook recovery exports do not include completion history; this view is not a backup. Adaptive steps are individual accepted outcomes; whole-scenario completion is shown separately only after its completion policy succeeds. Timing is local only unless you explicitly enable separate private tracking for new visits or review a historical import; it is not certified speed.
This is a snapshot of this course, not certified Excel mastery. Elapsed visit time is informational, not a speed score or efficiency assessment. Multiple legitimate techniques receive the same outcome credit.
Local command names, aliases and verified Home ribbon references only; no AI or network. Reference destinations do not execute an Excel command. Opening and closing preserves unfinished edits. Running a command commits a valid cell edit first; finish edits separately before Undo, Redo or Repeat formatting.
